Interior Architecture + Space Planning

Minimalist Loft began with subtraction. A full floor of a cast-iron Tribeca building — previously subdivided into a warren of partitioned rooms — was returned to its original open state, the concrete columns and timber ceiling exposed and celebrated.

The new plan carves three quiet bedrooms from the north wall, leaving the south and west faces entirely unobstructed: 14 feet of original cast-iron windows flooding the central living space with diffuse Manhattan light. The kitchen is monolithic — a single slab of Nero Marquina marble, nine feet long, housing sink, cooktop, and storage within a single low profile.

Furnishing was treated as architecture: pieces were selected for their structural honesty — visible joinery, natural fibers, honest stone. The result is a space of extraordinary calm in an extraordinary city.
